We are delighted to announce that the Palheiro Golf Training Academy has been officially certified by the Portuguese Golf Federation (FPG) as a Level 2 Golf Academy. This milestone represents an important step forward in our journey, having moved from Level 1, achieved last year, to a higher level of demand and qualification.
The FPG Certification Process
Certification of golf academies by the FPG is a rigorous process that assesses mandatory criteria and overall scores, with the aim of recognising entities that promote the development of young athletes in various age categories.
Certification is organised into three increasing levels:
• Level 1: Academies that guarantee the minimum conditions for the safe practice and teaching of the sport, focused on the growth of new practitioners.
• Level 2: Academies that have reached a higher level of qualification, with more advanced structures and methodologies, committed to the technical and competitive development of young athletes.
• Level 3: The highest level, reserved for organisations that stand out for their ability to train athletes for the highest competitive levels.
What does it mean to be a Level 2 Golf Academy?
As a Level 2 Academy, the Palheiro Golf Training Academy has been recognised for its ability to offer high quality training that combines safety, infrastructure, teaching methodology and technical support. This recognition reinforces our commitment to promoting not only the practice of golf, but also the development of young athletes with competitive potential at regional and national level.
Being one of the few academies in the country to achieve this distinction is a source of pride and a reflection of the hard work of our team of professionals, our young athletes and the ongoing support of their families.
